About Us

Our Story

One Stop Morris Shop was founded in 2010 when Natasha wanted a set of Rapper Shoes to loan at workshops and couldn't find any.  It was never Natasha's intention to start a shop!  One Stop Morris Shop is now firmly established on the Morris and Sword dancing scene and aims to provide top quality products to all.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide clothing, shoes and accessories for English traditional dance.  We also provide a variety of other items to make what we do that little bit easier, keep your eyes peeled for new products coming soon!

Our Values

Our values shape our culture, influence our decisions, and guide us in providing exceptional service. They reflect our dedication to integrity, collaboration, and client satisfaction.

Meet The Team

Natasha May

Owner

Natasha founded One Stop Morris Shop in 2010 and incorporated in 2016.

Natasha was born into the Morris world and fell in love with Rapper in her late teens dancing with a variety of teams including Silver Flame, Plieadees and Whip The Cat.  Natasha was a founding member of Cinquefoil and Locksided before joining Northgate as a musician and dancing with Mabel whilst at University in Oxford.

After a significant car accident in 2020 and a difficult following few years which saw the shop temporarily close, Natasha is now re-building One Stop Morris Shop with the support of her partner and family.

Natasha is dyslexic and has recently been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder and is now a regular wheelchair user.  Natasha believes that the Morris and Sword world has space for anyone and everyone who wants to be in it and is an avid recruiter.  Natasha has a special interest in neurodiversity and is an advocate for accessibility.

Marie Keenan

Second in Command

Marie didn't realise what she was getting into when she offered to help Natasha with the shop accounts and administration.

After a YouTube marathon through the traditions and endless Odoo tutorials she is still finding new quirks of English traditional dance and looks forward to attending a Festival before too long.

Marie and Natasha now meet once a week and are proving to be an excellent team.

Marie has worked in retail and accounting and now brings her skills to One Stop Morris Shop.

Richard Keenan

Tech Department and general support

When Rich first met Natasha he was warned early on that the Morris and Sword world 'are her life'.  Three weeks in and he was at his first folk festival and learning fast the nuances of the various English traditions.

Rich now regularly saves Natasha when tech related problems arise as well as being a general good egg.

Monty

Pet in Residence

Monty came to live with Natasha in 2019 and has yet to actually make it to a Folk Festival!

After Felix, previous Pet in Residence, decided to stay in Whitby for 5 years longer than expected, Monty tends to enjoy home comforts.

Whilst a natural introvert, Monty regularly joins in when Natasha is singing or playing music at home!

Gertrude

Model

Gertrude joined the team in 2017.

Gertrude's talent was spotted in a second hand shop at Upton Folk Festival in 2017.

Gertrude has fitted in well to their position as model and has attended every event since joining the team as well as being a reliable model in the sewing department.

Gertrude enjoys sporting a multitude of different outfits and is always up for a makeover.
